1Password lets agents log in for you without ever seeing the password

With 1Password for Agents, an agent proves its identity with a unique key, the user approves the request, and 1Password fills in the credentials. Launch partners include agents from Anthropic, OpenAI and Meta. After today's key thefts, keeping secrets out of the agent's context looks prudent.

Recursive's Flint is an open-weight coding model sized for a laptop

Flint has 40 billion parameters but activates only about 2.5 billion at a time, and it ships on Hugging Face under Apache 2.0. Recursive, led by Richard Socher, says it leads models under 50 billion parameters on SWE-Bench Verified and that AI largely built it.

Claude flags removable attack surface across five million lines of open source

Anthropic pointed Claude at 25 projects to find code an attacker can reach that could be gated or removed, and it flagged 493 issues. In OpenSSH it found about 4,500 lines of experimental post-quantum code reachable before authentication; version 10.6 removed it. The method ships as a reusable skill.

DuckDB 2.0 LTS adds a client-server protocol and an agent mode

"Cinnamon Teal" brings the Quack protocol with a CONNECT statement, async I/O, a VARIANT type, triggers, a PEG parser and an agent mode in the CLI. It is supported until at least October 2027. Older versions cannot read 2.0 database files, so plan upgrades together.

OpenAI publishes an official command-line client for its API

The Go-based, Apache-licensed openai-cli generates images, moves files, submits and collects batches, and emits JSON or JSONL for scripts. It is a small release, but a useful one for anyone gluing model calls into shell pipelines or CI jobs without writing an SDK wrapper.
