Blacksmith becomes a unicorn as AI-written code strains CI

Sequoia led a $66M Series C that values the CI platform at $1B, bringing total funding to $125M. Customers include Mercury and Granola. When agents write code faster than humans review it, build-and-test throughput becomes the bottleneck, and investors are paying for it.

Docker is weird, and building your own runtime shows why

After writing a toy container runtime, the author describes containers as restricted Linux processes and images as folders used as root. Go's threading model fights the job, and rootless mode complicates networking. The case for rebuilding a tool to understand it is well made.

Google publishes its Rust style guide
